Here are some resources for learning more about LCIS and DCIS breast cancer (and breast cancer in general).

NOTE: The World Wide Web changes constantly. We try to keep this page updated as much as possible, but you might occasionally click on a link that no longer works. If this happens, try going to the base page for the link and searching for the topic from there. Also, please e-mail us and let us know about the broken link. We'll update the web page as soon as possible.

The Internet is an easy-to-access source for information about breast cancer. I've had excellent results using Google's search engine (http://www.google.com). I was able to search on any topic in the LCIS & DCIS Breast Cancer Fact Book. Be as specific as you can to narrow the results.

Remember that the vast majority of web pages represent a biased view either by health care providers or by those who had a particular experience with breast cancer. Purely informational sites with no obvious bias are hard to find. The Internet is a compendium of information, and not all of it is factual. Use your discretion, and for best results, try to view several websites to get a more realistic view of your type of breast cancer.

To find books on breast cancer and its various aspects, you can find or order books at your local bookstore. You can also search on-line at http://www.amazon.com, www.borders.com, www.barnesandnoble.com, or at many other websites that offer books for sale. Books that you find when you search on-line can be ordered from your local bookseller.

These resources are intended to supplement information provided by your doctor or health care provider. The URLs (Uniform Resource Locator, or website address on the Internet) were accurate when this page was created, but because the Internet is a dynamic resource, URLs change frequently. Some books that I found helpful are also listed.

The resources are not listed in any particular or heirarchical order.
