Welcome to Three Pyramids Publishing

Three Pyramids Publishing was started in 1987 in upstate New York by John Simone, a technical writer working at IBM.

Our first project was to publish a 48 page book called Psychic Awareness. This book was produced as a class handout for the Psychic Awareness class taught by owner John Simone in the Continuing Adult Education program at Ulster County Community College, Stone Ridge, NY.

With classes at capacity for several years, this small book sold well to interested students. It was used in conjunction with an extensive reading list of books then currently available. However, many of the books on the reading list left much to be desired - either because they were incomplete or omitted significant information, or because a book on a specific topic did not exist.

In 1993, John Simone moved south to IBM's Research Triangle Park location (near Raleigh, North Carolina). In 1994, John decided to add more more information to the Psychic Awareness book, which was now being used by students in his Psychic Awareness classes at Wake County Technical College in Raleigh, North Carolina.

After it was revised and rewritten in 1995, the book became a 176-page trade paperback, and Three Pyramids Publishing made the book available to the book trade with a new title: Psychic Awareness: Everything You Need to Know To Develop Your Psychic Abilities. It continues to sell well.

In 1998, John Simone left his corporate technical writing job at IBM and began to work as a contract technical writer through Three Pyramids Publishing. Today, the company concentrates on providing technical writing and editing services, along with consulting, web page, publishing, and other services. We write or revise more than 4,500 pages a year.

In the mid-1990s, John also wrote two other books, Astrology for Beginners and the Intuitive Tarot Workbook. Both of these books were designed as workbooks for classes in astrology and tarot.

In 2002, John Simone wrote The LCIS & DCIS Breast Cancer Fact Book. This book was written as a reference book about LCIS and DCIS breast cancers.

In 2008, John moved to back to New York. In 2010, John published Life After Weight Loss Surgery: Achieving and Maintaing Massive Weight Loss .  This is a handbook for bariatric patients who want to understand the huge range of changes and lifestyle adjustments they have to make after having weight loss surgery.

In 2011, John completed The Male Pagan. This book resulted from a study that illustrated how men work within an often feminine-identified religious tradition.
